About Where Trains Collide Thankfully, no accidents are involved this time - quite the opposite, in fact! This delightful read took me on a picturesque mental journey up the California-Oregon train lines. Why yes, of course I can watch your “Ninja”! (Just call me the master of stuffed-animal patrol.) I just wish every train ride began with such sweetness!Īs I anticipate another PDX train ride later in the year, I thought it fitting and timely to pick up Amber Holcomb’s Where Trains Collide.
However, my reward came via a totes adorbs little boy, who asked me if I could watch his stuffed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle while he and his mom visited the loo.
So much rain, in fact, that a mudslide occurred north of Seattle - so I schlepped myself and my luggage to King Street Station. Further, the trip occurred in February - not the most auspicious time to travel by train in the Pacific Northwest. On my first rail trip from Seattle to Portland, I started reading Katie Ganshert’s “Life After” (which happens to involve a train accident - smooth, Meagan, smooth). Have I mentioned recently that I like to travel? 🙂 I recently discovered stateside train travel after quite a few delightful European adventures by rail, and have enjoyed jaunting down to Oregon via this delightful method.
